Dusk or Dawn Kit

Lay it flat. Clip it on. Flip it down.

Install your vertical extension for targeted shade from low morning or afternoon sunlight.

In the kit: One vertical extension, approximately 50 inches wide × 20 inches tall, and 10 locking clips.

Choose your side

Center the extension toward the low sunlight you want to block. Choose the exposure that needs additional shade—not simply the side of the house where the unit sits.

Lay it flat

Lay the extension on top of the AC Shade with its unhemmed side down and hemmed side up. Align its attachment edge with the canopy’s outer edge.

Hemmed side up now.
It will face inward after you flip the extension down.

Clip it on

Use all 10 locking clips, spaced approximately evenly along the attachment edge. Adjust their positions to suit your installation.

C. Lock closedPress the locking lever down to secure the fabric.
Quick tip: Leave a little slack where the fabric passes over the AC Shade support poles. Don’t pull it drum-tight.

Flip it down

Flip the extension outward over the canopy edge and let it hang vertically. The hemmed side should face inward toward the condenser.

Before restarting, check:

  • Every clip is secure.
  • The extension hangs freely.
  • The fan opening remains clear.
